For over 30 years, INRO in Stockstadt am Main in the centre of the FrankfurtRhineMain metropolitan region has been producing control systems and drive solutions that reliably set systems and machines in motion. Industrial trucks, construction machinery and pump systems are just a few examples where our solutions ensure that everything runs safely, precisely and efficiently every day. With around 150 employees, we realise all steps from the initial idea to series production directly at our site in Stockstadt am Main. In our team, people of different ages, experiences and nationalities work together on well thought-out products. In this way, new solutions for demanding applications are constantly being created, in which we utilise the latest technology. Short decision-making processes and regional ties characterise our daily work.
You'll learn that with us
From day one, you will be an important team member of our IT department and, together with your trainer and three other colleagues, you will look after our IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, and around 300 clients. The following exciting topics await you during your 3-year apprenticeship:
- Administration and maintenance of our modern IT infrastructure, consisting of Windows and Linux systems
- Systematic troubleshooting and resolution of faults and errors in a client-server environment
- Installation and commissioning of hardware and software components
- Insights into our network architecture, including the configuration and management of switches, routers, and firewalls
- Implementation and monitoring of IT security concepts, such as access rights, information security and data protection
- Management and monitoring of our backup systems for reliable backup of all company data
- Support and assistance for users from various departments with their IT queries
- Actively participate in exciting IT projects – your ideas are valued here!
About you
- You have successfully completed school (soon) with a good intermediate school-leaving certificate or (subject-specific) Abitur.
- You are interested in technical contexts – and you like to get to the bottom of problems systematically until you have found a solution.
- You have a knack for logical thinking and enjoy analysing errors and developing sustainable solutions.
- Perhaps you've already built PCs privately, upgraded hardware, or dealt with networks – possibly even set up or expanded your own home network.
- IT isn’t just a school subject for you: you follow new developments, try things out, and want to understand how systems work behind the scenes.
- You enjoy working in a team and are happy to support others when technical questions arise.
- You have good English language skills, enabling you to confidently handle technical documentation and specialised terminology.
