For over 30 years, INRO in Stockstadt am Main in the centre of the FrankfurtRhineMain metropolitan region has been producing control systems and drive solutions that reliably set systems and machines in motion. Industrial trucks, construction machinery and pump systems are just a few examples where our solutions ensure that everything runs safely, precisely and efficiently every day. With around 150 employees, we realise all steps from the initial idea to series production directly at our site in Stockstadt am Main. We are looking for the next possible date for a
Developer (m/f/d) Motor Control and Drive Technology

Your tasks

As a specialist in motor control and drive technology, you will play a central role in the development and validation of our drive solutions. You will accompany new motors and drive systems from the initial measurements and controller design through to successful qualification. In doing so, you will work both at your desk and directly in the laboratory, at the test bench and on the systems themselves. Your tasks will include in particular:

  • Commissioning, characterisation and qualification of new motors and drive systems

  • Care and maintenance of existing software

  • Analysis and optimisation of current, speed and position controls

  • Development and optimisation of control and identification algorithms for electrical machines

  • Execution, evaluation and documentation of measurements in laboratory and test field environments

  • Analysis of control dynamics, losses and thermal behaviour

  • Support with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem solving during development, testing and production

  • Close collaboration with hardware, firmware, test and systems engineering

  • Support with the selection and introduction of new motor and sensor technologies

  • Derivation of technical requirements for future product generations

Your profile

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering or a comparable qualification

  • Several years of experience in the field of electric drives, motor control and power electronics

  • Knowledge of electronics and low-level programming of microcontrollers, particularly in C/C++

  • Good knowledge of electrical machines and their control methods

  • Safe handling of measuring and diagnostic equipment

  • Experience in laboratory, test bench or commissioning environments

  • Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach

  • Very good command of written and spoken German and English

Also desirable are:

  • Experience with one or more motor types, e.g. synchronous machines (PMSM, BLDC, synchronous reluctance machines), asynchronous machines or servo drives
  • Knowledge of modern control methods, e.g. field oriented control (FOC), current, speed or position control as well as sensorless methods
  • Knowledge of the evaluation of engine sensor technologies
